Keratin, together with collagen and elastin, is one of our most important structural proteins\u2014it is the dominant component in the composition of hair, nails, and skin. Keratin is a tough, fibrous protein that makes up 90% of hair as well as 90% of the structure of nails. It is found in the outermost layer of the skin\u2014the epidermis\u2014where it forms its protective barrier and prevents water loss. Keratin, as one of our most important protein building blocks<\/span>, is formed of essential amino acids \u2013 whereby sulphur-rich Cysteine, often derived from animal sources like sheep wool, is one of them. However, Cysteine found in wool cannot naturally be digested by the body. <\/p>\n

Thanks to a proprietary manufacturing process, our French partner LC Ingredients has succeeded in softening the disulfate bonds, in order to deliver Cysteine in a tri-peptide form that significantly improves its absorption rate.
